The 2025 tax filing season will begin Monday, Jan. 27, the Internal Revenue Service announced earlier this month. The agency said in a statement that it expects more than 140 million individual tax returns to be filed by the deadline of Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Due to Hurricane Helene the Tax Dead Line for Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and the Carolinas was move to May 1 2025.
